Dr. James Singer

Dr. Singer grew up in Oakville, Ontario - a suburb of Toronto.  He attended the University of Toronto and received a Bachelor of Sciences degree in 1986. 

This was followed by 2 years of bio-medical research at the Hospital for Sick Children in Toronto.

He then entered the Faculty of Dentistry at the University of Toronto and graduated as a Doctor of Dental Surgery in 1992.

Following his dental education, he moved  to North-Western Ontario (town of Emo) where he practiced in a community dental clinic from 1992 to 1997.  He also provided dental care to primary school children in rural schools as part of the regions Health Unit program.

He did two locums, each of three weeks duration,  in the Northwest Territories in 1996-97.

In 1997 he moved to Castlegar, and has been in practice at the Castlegar Dental Centre since then.

His commitment to continuous dental education has included attending programs at Goteborg and Vasteras in Sweden, Univeristy of Southern California, University of California Los Angeles, University of California San Diego, Medical College of Georgia, University of British Columbia, and Nobel Biocare training centre in Yorba Linda, California.
